What happens in CALM Suicide Intervention training?
If you want to support someone who may be thinking about suicide, it can be hard to know how to start the conversation. CALM Suicide Intervention is a practical, one-day learning program focused on recognising concern, listening, asking directly and helping someone connect with appropriate support.
What will I learn?
The workshop uses guided learning and practice to help participants approach a difficult conversation with care. The licensed CALM program covers listening, responding and safety planning. It is education and skills practice; it does not qualify participants to provide counselling or clinical care.
Who can enquire?
Individuals, workplaces, community services, faith groups and community organisations can ask about a suitable session. You do not need to share personal health information in your enquiry. Tell us your preferred location and timing and, for a group, the approximate number of participants.
How do dates and payment work?
Palm Tree Covering lists individual enrolment at $275 AUD per person. A session requires at least seven participants to operate. Please enquire first: we confirm the next suitable date, venue and available place before sending the booking terms and invoice. There is no website payment for an unconfirmed session.
Ask about CALM dates and places or enquire for your organisation.
